The time has come to put away any notions of a slow, boring, and methodical game of baseball and herald in the stadiums full of Red-Blooded Americans cheering in unison at the sight of one grown man (230 lbs worth) slamming full speed into another with the thud that could only be described as sickening, all in the primal effort of protecting a section of field designated to him at that given time.
Yes, I am aware that I have probably written the worlds longest run on sentence. But it is a sacrifice I am willing to accept, in order to describe the passion that I and the majority of Americans feel at this time of the year. Yes, FOOTBALL and no not Soccer (put some pads on and play a real game that involves full contact) is probably the best sport, besides baseball, that our country has ever come up with. I hope that I don't come off as annoying, but I love this time of the year.
